Koster Invites Communities to Support Election Results and Don't Participate in Demos

The Governor of Bali  Wayan Koster invited all parties, especially the Balinese people, to support the KPU and the results of its decision regarding the Presidential and Legislative Elections on 22 May. "We just pray that the KPU plenary can run safely and smoothly, not because different choices sacrifice national unity and NKRI," Governor Koster said in his remarks at the 'Knitting Togetherness in the NKRI Frame' held by Bali Regional Police at Puputan Klungkung Field, Semarapura, Klungkung  Regency On Monday (May 20, 2019).

In the event initiated by a series of National Awakening Days and the final stages of the election phase, the Governor of Bali also reminded that efforts to reject the election results without going through the way according to the constitution should be rejected.

"We in Bali are at the forefront of unity and peace, I hope the Balinese do not join the demonstration. Bali is also a world tourism area, so comfort and safety must be prioritized," Koster said.

Koster also wants peace and unity after this election can be massively voiced from Bali, in addition to seeing the reality of elections in Bali which generally runs very smoothly and safely. "Thank you to the Chief of Police who initiated this extraordinary event, in this historic day and place, we shared a voice throughout Indonesia of our commitment in nation and state," Koster said.

Meanwhile, Bali Regional  Police Chief,  Petrus R Golose did not forget to remind all stakeholders, to participate in maintaining security in post-election Bali. "The moment of the National Awakening Day is a sign of our revival to reunite after simultaneous elections," Golose  said.

Strictly speaking, he also advised to reject all efforts that want to undermine ideology, the basis to the slogan of the state, especially with the pretext of choice differences in elections. "We all love the island of God, love the NKRI. So whatever the choice, we are responsible for the security of Bali and Indonesia. We are not only knitting, but also maintaining the solidity of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.

In addition to Governor Koster and Bali Regional Police Chief , the event was attended by the Secretary of Bali Province Dewa Made Indra, Chairperson of MUDP Jro Gede Suwena Putus Upadesa, representative of regents / mayors in Bali, religious leaders, community leaders and Bali Police.
