Tourism Bus Crushed Tree, 15 Foreigners Safe

Gempinis Tree fell override the Tourism Bus which carrying 15 foreigners on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.

There were no fatalities in the accident that occurred in a common Denpasar – Singaraja Highway, Perean Tengah Village, Baturiti District, Tabana Regency.

Base on gathered information,  around 3:30 pm  there were heavy rains around the site. At the same time tourist bus with plate number DK 9264 A carrying foreign tourists came from Singaraja to Denpasar. The bus drove at a moderate pace because it was heavy rain with fog so thick that visibility is limited. On arriving at the location, suddenly a gempinis tree  with 1 meter diameter fell on the front of buses.  There is no casualties from either passengers or other motorists. It was only causing traffic jam along 7 kilometers.

Baturiti Police Chief, Commissioner I Gede Made Surya Atmaja confirmed the incident. He fell to localized. If a fallen tree this happened when the bus was passing. There was no casualty in the incident just cause congestion for one hour. "It was a heavy rain, the flow of traffic jam for an hour," he explained.
