For the Balinese, Penjor is something sacred and it must exist on special day, especially during Galungan and Kuningan day. To maintain making Penjor tradition, The Department of Culture and Tourism Tabanan Regency hold penjor decoration contest on Tuesday, 22 November 2016.
According to Ketut Sumendra which is one of the judges pejor decorating contest, penjor contest is more emphasis on the creation and creativity of the participants. Of a total of seven participants will be required to be able to solve two Penjor within 3 hours. In addition to the creation and creativity, the participants were also required to always compact until the end result can be maximized. "There are several criteria that we will value such as grooming, beauty, harmony, form and creation," he said.
