After the establishment status of Mount Agung in level III, 259 people rom four villages namely Subudi and Amerta Buwana, Selat District, Bonyoh Village, Kubu District, Kumala Village, Bebandem District, Karangasem Regency refugees to Candikuning Village, Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency.
I Made Mustika as head of Candikuning Village, explained, people from Subudi Village, Selat Sub-district, Karangasem arrived in Candikuing Village since Wednesday morning (September, 20, 2017). "People from Karangasem mostly live in their relatives in Banjar Kembang Merta,"Mudita explained. He explained, there is a historical relationship of people from Subudi Village, Karangasem with people in Banjar Kembang Merta. Once when the Gunung Agung mountain erupted in 1963, many residents from Subudi Village who fled to Banjar Kembang Merta, Candikuning Village. "Residents from Subudi Village are currently living in Banjar Kembang Merta, Candikuning Village," he explained. The arrival of residents from the affected village of Gunung Agung, is very openly accepted. And the committee has chosen a banjar hall in Kembang Merta as a refugee camp for residents of some villages in Karangasem. RRBNC
