Balitopnews.com, DENPASAR - It has recently spread information on social media as if the Provincial Government of Bali has decided to close all domestic and international flights to and from Bali related to the Corona virus. Airport closure will begin March 25, 2020 starting at. 1:00 a.m. and ends at 06.00 Wita the next day (March 26, 2020). Emphasized on that day there will also be closing of all shops and all activities in Bali.

This information was spread from short messages on WA Group and viral on social media. The public also wondered if this was really official information from the Bali Provincial Government.

Responding to this, the Provincial Secretary of Bali Dewa Made Indra was met in his office (March 14, 2020) to ensure that the news was a hoax. "There is no such thing, the Bali Provincial Government has not made such a decision. Just yesterday the Covid Countermeasure Task Force held 19 meetings to determine the next steps to be taken regarding the handling and prevention of the Corona virus,"  Dewa Indra said.

Dewa Indra did not dismiss on March 25, 2020 there will be closure of the airport and all activities of the Balinese people. "That is in connection with Nyepi Day (silent day) . All day the Balinese do not carry out activities, flights are closed, shops are closed, the community is not traveling and working. TV broadcasts, radio to the internet are also not active," Dewa Indra  emphasized while reminding the public not to be provoked by issues that cannot be justified and try to find information from reliable sources.

According to Dewa Indra, it could be that the issue developed initially only joking among friends in the WA group. Balinese Hindus certainly can grasp its meaning in terms of Nyepi. But of course it will be interpreted differently by non-Hindus, especially related to the current situation amid the outbreak of the Corona virus. "We recommend that things like this should not be used as a joke. It can make people panic even more in the midst of the outbreak of the Corona virus," Dewa Indra pleaded.

The day before, Friday (March 13, 2020) Dewa Indra as the Chairperson of the Bali Province COVID-19 Task Force held a coordination meeting on disease prevention efforts that has been designated a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). The coordination meeting involved elements of health, tourism, security and education.

In his direction, Dewa Made Indra emphasized two things, the first outbreak was that COVID-19 had triggered turmoil and anxiety in various parts of the world. It is hoped that the government and security forces must remain calm, not panic and be overly afraid. Because in composure, can act appropriately and rationally. Second, the formation of the Task Force is a proactive step by the Governor of Bali Wayan Koster to increase efforts to handle the potential spread of COVID-19. The Task Force is expected to take steps that are fast, measurable and controlled. In carrying out their duties, the Task Force must comply with the protocol established by the government which includes five matters, namely communication protocols, education areas, public areas and transportation, especially Indonesian entrances and health protocols. All must work according to the central protocol.

According to Dewa Indra, in broad outline there are five urgent matters that must be immediately carried out by the Covid 19 Bali Provincial Task Force.

First, increasing disease management capacity, especially in health facilities, in this case hospitals. Ensure that health facilities have sufficient capacity to anticipate an escalation in the spread of COVID-19. Dewa Indra requested that the health facilities have sufficient capacity of isolation rooms and adequate standards. In addition, the number of qualified medical teams must also be ascertained in order to anticipate an increase in COVID-19 patients. Because there later patients are treated. The availability of health facilities with the support of an adequate medical team will build community trust. To this day, the capacity of health facilities and the support of medical personnel is still sufficient and adequate.

Second, ensuring the availability of facilities related to the prevention and transmission of COVID-19 such as masks, hand sanitizers and disinfectants. "This item must be ensured available, because if it is empty it will trigger panic,"  Dewa Indra stressed.

Third, according to Dewa Indra, increased capacity for early detection and prevention at entrances such as airports and ports. Because this virus comes from outside. If the entrance is safe, the risk can be eliminated.

Fourth, Increase efforts to control the spread of the virus by limiting activities involving people and the Fifth, intensifying campaigns and education on Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS). The Governor, Regent / Mayor makes a short duration video that can provide information regarding COVID-19 and how to prevent it. Because this disease can be controlled through PHBS.

According to Dewa Indra, the five things that will be elaborated in a more technical operational plan to restore the psychological community in dealing with situations related to COVID-19.

Regarding the health facilities that are used as a reference for People in Monitoring (ODP) and Patients Under Supervision (PDP) there are currently four hospitals, namely Sanglah Hospital, Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar, Tabanan Hospital and Singaraja Hospital.

Coordination meetings also agreed to the disinfectant spraying movement simultaneously throughout Bali on Sunday, March 15, 2020 starting at 08.00 local time. Spraying will be led directly by the Regent / Mayor, each of which is expected to reach as many places as possible, especially those that have the potential as objects of the spread of the virus, including airports, ports, tourist attractions and hotels. "For the province will be led directly by the Governor of Bali by taking place on the Sanur Beach crossing to Nusa Penida," Dewa Indra explained.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief of the Bali Regional Police Brigadier General (Pol) I Wayan Sunartha on the occasion of the Rakor expressed his full support for the efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the Province of Bali. The Bali Police has ordered its members to take firm action against persons who hoard medical devices such as masks, hand sanitizers, etc. (Balitopnews.com/md/rls)
