Governor of Bali Wayan Koster Holds Seminar on Actualization of Bung Karno's Leadership in a New Era of Bali

DENPASAR, - The Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster officially opened the Seminar "Actualization of Bung Karno's Leadership in a New Era of Bali" on Monday (Soma Pon, Dungulan) June 6, 2022 at the Ksirarnawa Building, Art Center, Denpasar by presenting resource persons, I Gusti Ngurah Kusuma Later from Member of Commission VIII DPR RI, Anak Agung Gede Oka Wisnu Murti from political expert and lecturer at Warmadewa University, Prof. I Wayan Ramantha as an economist and professor at Udayana University and Prof. I Wayan “Kun” Adnyana as a cultural expert and the Chancellor of the Indonesian Art Institute - Denpasar with the moderator I Ketut Sumarta.

Governor Wayan Koster explained that the seminar "Actualization of Bung Karno's Leadership in a New Era of Bali" was deliberately carried out with the aim that public understanding of Bung Karno's teachings related to nationality would continue to be voiced, conveyed to the public. "That as a nation, we were built by our proclaimer, the leader of our movement in Indonesia who led Indonesia to become an independent country," Koster said.

Acorrding of The Governor of Bali, Bung Karno is not only being a leader of the movement and being a proclaimer and becoming the First President of the Republic of Indonesia in Indonesia, more than that he has given very fundamental teachings for the future of the Indonesian nation. Not only building the spirit of the Indonesian people against colonialism, but also building the spirit of how this nation after independence continues to have a strong spirit to fill independence with development according to the context of the development of its era. "That is why as the next generation must be able to understand this, so that we know where we come from, understand the long history of how our nation's previous leaders fought, to lead us today to the achievement of development that we are carrying out. I hope throughout Indonesia so that we know the history or Jas Merah (Never Forget History, ed). For that we must remember that our existence today, there are those who move, create, and create and guide the way to achieve all aspects of development throughout Indonesia, " Koster hope.

Furthermore, the Governor of Bali from Sembiran Village, Buleleng said that Bung Karno not only left extraordinary values, but also left monumental physical developments. So Bung Karno was a very complete figure, had knowledge by reading quite a lot of references, so that he could formulate about the future of Indonesia, how the Indonesian ideology with Pancasila was built by him, and then also gave directions to build this nation as outlined in the concept of the Planned Universal Development Pattern.

The concept of the Planned Universe Development Pattern is a very thick book and this is what I read before I became the Governor of Bali and learned about the history of Balinese civilization, until I read about Balinese culture from the start of Bali, which has existed since ancient times until it is developing today. So I formulated the vision of Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali not from origin, but by really reading the references. "One year after the 2014 election or running for the third time as DPR RI, there was a discourse about the Governor of Bali and my name was mentioned, so starting in 2016, I took the initiative (At that time I did not know whether I was assigned as a Candidate for Governor of Bali by Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri, ed) wrote about Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali and an unknown person came with a reference about Bali and I read it for a year, and I checked the book marks one by one for me to formulate according to the concept of the Universal Development Pattern Planned to carried out on the island of Bali," explained the chairman of the Bali Province PDI-P DPD, which was greeted with applause. This former researcher from the Research and Development Department of the Ministry of Education and Culture from 1988 to 1994 believes that if the Indonesian nation implemented the concept of the Planned Universal Development Pattern, which was initiated by Bung Karno and formulated by around 600 experts. "I think Indonesia will be much more advanced than the conditions we see today and will become a very strong country with the values of its nation's life, as well as how to build its economy and full of its cultural values," Wayan Koster said.

The end of Bung Karno's leadership as the First President of the Republic of Indonesia, then the concept of the Planned Universal Development Pattern was also lost in the next government period. "Even though Indonesia is free from colonialism from other countries, Indonesia continues to experience economic colonialism until now and we are still controlled by the import mafia," said Governor Wayan Koster while stressing that this is what I will fight in Bali and I will present Balinese Salt, Balinese Arak, Balinese Rice, Balinese Endek, Balinese Traditional Clothing, Balinese Script and all of Bali according to the implementation of Bali Governor Regulation Number 79 of 2018 concerning the Day of Use of Balinese Traditional Clothing, Bali Governor Regulation Number 80 of 2018 concerning Protection and Use of Balinese Language, Script and Literature and Implementation of Balinese Language Month, Bali Governor Regulation Number 99 of 2018 concerning Utilization of Balinese Agricultural, Fisheries and Local Industrial Products, Bali Governor Regulation Number 1 of 2020 concerning Management of Balinese Fermented Drinks and/or Distillation, Circular Letter of the Governor of Bali Number 04 of 2021 regarding the Use of Balinese Endek Woven Fabrics / Balinese Traditional Woven Fabrics, and Governor's Circular Bali Number 17 of 2021 concerning Utilization of Traditional Balinese Salt Products. I did this in order to strengthen Bali fundamentally, with character, identity, having solid life values, while also building its economy with infrastructure. "It's not enough just to live with philosophical values as a source to live a cultured life with manners, ethics, and manners, but we have to survive and prosper," said the Governor of Bali who graduated from ITB with an enthusiastic tone. So this economy must be built, but if the economy is built without infrastructure it will never run optimally. I know Bali is very backward in terms of infrastructure, there has never been a solid design that integrates it into a master plan regarding Bali's infrastructure needs. Then see Bali like that - that's all. As a world tourist area, Bali must have infrastructure, not only for tourism, but also to grow new economic centers and have an impact on the environment, so that it has a wider impact on the community's economy in order to improve their welfare and happiness.

That is why, as soon as I was appointed Governor of Bali, I immediately carried out the vision of Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali which was rooted in Balinese culture and carried out a balanced development between South, North, East, West and Central Bali. Because so far the direction of development in Bali has never existed, and is too complex in the south and as a result economic inequality has occurred, the migration of people from North Bali, East Bali, West Bali has all become lumpy to Denpasar and Badung. That's why I (Wayan Koster, ed) became the Governor of Bali together with the Deputy Governor of Bali, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati, who are currently intensively managing Bali's development towards a New Era of Bali in accordance with Bung Karno's Trisakti principles, namely Politically Sovereign, Economically Independent, and Personality in Culture through the development of its infrastructure starting from: 1) Protecting the Sacred Area of Pura Agung Besakih; 2) Bali Cultural Center Area; 3) Shortcut Singaraja - Mengwitani; 4) Jagat Kerthi Bali Toll Road; 5) Sanur Triangle Harbor in Denpasar City; 6) Sampalan Triangle Harbor in Nusa Penida, Klungkung; 7) Munjul Bias Triangle Harbor in Nusa Ceningan, Klungkung; 8) Bali Maritime Tourism Hub; 9) Sidan Dam; 10) Tamblang Dam; and 11) Turyapada Tower KBS 6.0 Kerthi Bali.
