Muhammad Tito Karnavian for his success in handling the Covid-19 pandemic on the island of Bali by providing bold policies. This appreciation was conveyed directly in front of thousands of spectators who attended the opening of the 44th Bali Arts Festival (PKB) 2022 on Sunday (Redite Wage, Kuningan) June 12,2022 at the Ardha Candra Art Center Open Stage, Denpasar.

The Governor of Bali in front of the Minister of Home Affairs reported on the achievements of handling the COVID-19 Pandemic and Vaccination in Bali. Wayan Koster said that since the COVID-19 Pandemic first appeared in Bali on March 10, 2020, as the Head of the Task Force, I have been working really hard on Niskala-Sakala, leading the handling of the COVID-19 Pandemic, working extra hard with the Pangdam IX/Udayana, Bali Police Chief, and Mayor, Regents throughout Bali, as well as the active role of Perbekel, Lurah, Bandesa Adat, and various components of Balinese society. Although many international meetings have been held in Bali, which were attended by hundreds of countries and thousands of participants, the COVID-19 pandemic in Bali has not experienced a significant increase. This is also strongly supported by the Booster Vaccination rate reaching 70%, the highest in Indonesia, and the discipline of all Balinese people to comply with health protocols, as many as 95% wear masks. In fact, the number of direct international flights to Bali continues to increase, currently reaching 18 airlines. "We all hope that the COVID-19 pandemic can continue to be managed properly, so that the momentum for the rise of tourism and the Balinese economy will run faster in the future until it reaches a growth rate, at least the same as before the COVID-19 pandemic," Koster concluded. 

While the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Ir. Joko Widodo who was represented by the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. General of Police (Purn.) Prof. Drs. H. Muhammad Tito Karnavian expressed his appreciation to the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster because in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, he was very brave in making decisions.
