The Chairperson of the TP PKK Bali Province  Participates in The Red and White Festival at the MPRB

DENPASAR, Balitopnews. com – The Chairperson of the TP PKK Bali Province Mrs Putri Suastini Koster took part in The Red and White Festival at the Bali People's Struggle Monument (MPRB), Renon, Tuesday (Anggara Paing Medangkungan), August 9, 2022.

This Red and White Festival was held by the Bali Provincial Government through the Civil Service Police Unit in order to celebrate the 64th Anniversary of Bali Province and the 77th Indonesian Independence Day.

The Red and White Festival took place lively, involving 500 employees of the Bali Provincial Government. Carrying the prepared flags, they marched around the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors of the MPRB. The 1st floor is filled by 300 employees, and the 2nd and 3rd floors are occupied by 120 and 80 employees, respectively.

 In addition, this activity also involves scout members who are lined up on the steps on the south side of the monument which is also known as Bajra Sandhi.

The red and white gebyar procession began with the handing over of the main flag from the Head of the PP, Dewa Nyoman Rai Dharmadi, to the Regional Secretary of the Bali Province, Dewa Made Indra, who was accompanied by the Head of BPBD Bali I Made Rentin and the Head of Culture I Gede Arya Sugiartha.

Beginning with the waving of the flag by the Regional Secretary Dewa Indra, participants on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors simultaneously followed by moving the flag to the left and right. Furthermore, all flag bearers on each floor surround the MPRB while moving the Red and White Flag with enthusiasm.

The enthusiasm of the participants was further ignited when Mrs.Putri Koster appeared to read a poem taken from the song 'Merah dan Putih ' by I Gde Dharna. The reading of the poem was accompanied by the song 'Merah dan Putih’ which was sung by all the flag-raising participants.

Interviewed on the sidelines of the activity, Mrs. Putri Koster welcomed this activity as part of an effort to inflame the spirit of independence. "This is just the start of a series of activities to commemorate the 77th Independence Day. Through this activity, we mobilize and cultivate the spirit until it reaches its peak on August 17, the spirit of independence has really permeated, she said.

According to her, the activities of the Red and White Gebyar which were made into videos and the distribution of flags were one way to refresh people's memories about the meaning of independence.

She added that one way to interpret independence is to understand and implement Bung Karno's Tri Sakti principles, namely being politically sovereign, independent in the economic field, and having a personality in the field of culture. "Let's organize behavior and actions to realize the glory and strength of our nation," She said. Because according to her, what is done by the current generation will be passed on to future generations. “Similarly now, we imitate the spirit of the fighters in seizing independence. What we do now will also be a mirror for the next generation. Therefore, we should try to do positive things that can be an inspiration,” she explained.

 On the other hand, the woman who also serves as the Chair of the Bali Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) invites the younger generation to imitate the spirit of their predecessors in fulfilling independence so that the Indonesian nation can be on par with other nations.

Meanwhile, The Head of the civil service police unit Dewa Rai Dharmadi added, this activity aims to inspire and revive the spirit of Bali's recovery after the Covid 19 pandemic which has devastated almost all aspects of Balinese life. "Through the momentum of the 64th Anniversary of the Province of Bali and the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, we are again growing enthusiasm and confidence to welcome the New Era of Bali, from Bali Recovering Together, Growing Together, Living Together, Developing Together, Strong Together, Mutual Benefit , towards Indonesia Recovering Faster, Rising Stronger," he explained.

The Red and White Festival at the MPRB was continued by the movement to distribute 10 million flags, which was symbolically initiated by Mrs. Putri Koster by attaching a flag to a motorcycle belonging to a motorist passing on Jalan Raya Puputan. The flags distributed are donations from all Bali Provincial Government OPDs. (Rls/Btnc)
