BADUNG,Balitopnews.com – Vice Governor of Bali  Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati officially opened the 2022 C20 Summit at the Hilton Resort Ballroom, Nusa Dua, Badung, Wednesday (Buda Wage, Klawu) October 5, 2022.

The C20 Summit is an excellent platform for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) around the world to voice their agenda at the multilateral level.

In his remarks,  The  Figure of  Puri Ubud , who is familiarly called Cok Ace, believes that the noble mission of the C20 delegates deserves appreciation and support from the government, local communities, and other NGOs. World leaders need to listen carefully to the agendas of world NGOs in addition to talking about politics and the economy.

"The reason is that these agendas are very important to realize just development and sustainable prosperity," Cok Ace said

Most of the agendas that will be discussed in this high-level meeting are very complex and difficult issues to solve. Sometimes governments need expert opinion on these complex issues in order to produce better public policies. It is for this reason why the C20 Summit is so important and to ensure that we fulfill our responsibilities for the environment and inclusive development.

According to Cok Ace, the Provincial Government of Bali is fully committed to supporting the C20 Summit agenda through the Bali development vision, namely "Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali". In the last 4 years, many changes have been implemented both in infrastructure and superstructure. The Bali government has determined 5 priority development sectors, namely; Food and Clothing, Health and Education, Social Security and Employment, Customs, traditions, arts and culture, as well as local wisdom, and Tourism.

"These five priority sectors are very important in realizing the development goals of a better Bali, namely inclusive, sustainable, and spiritually responsible (niscala)," Cok Ace  added while hoping that all countries in the world could seriously commit to developing environmentally friendly and environmentally friendly economic development plans. sustainable.

“This is actually not impossible to achieve because we now have a large number of consumers who care about the environment. In addition, the development of our technology is also now very advanced so that it can help reduce the negative impact on the environment. The green economy is not only good for the environment, but also beneficial for the community," he concluded.

Chair of C20 Indonesia Sugeng Bahagio, as the event committee in his report stated that the event was to show the voice of civil society to world leaders in the G20 event. Show the world, testimony to the world, a healthy democracy both in Indonesia and the world.

“We are seriously collecting voices from civil society. We are very concerned and concerned with the differences and diversity that exists in the world. We use open methods to collect documents and our recommendations and proposals,” he said

He also stated that he believed that an event like this was the most appropriate effort to recover from the current world conditions, namely the Covid-19 pandemic and war. G20 leaders can make more appropriate efforts and steps for change for the better.

“We have the same concern with the voice of diversity, black matter live, for gender equality, health services for vulnerable groups, including access to vaccinations for the elderly and disabled. The G20 is our best hope, in the midst of the current global conditions," he concluded. (Rls/Btnc)
