Chairperson of The TP PKK Bali Province Mrs. Putri Koster “Social Action Greet and Share” in Gianyar Regency

GIANYAR,Balitopnews.com - Concern for the Chairperson of The  TP PKK Bali Province  Mrs. Putri Koster was shown to the community again through a social action event on Thursday morning, October 27, 2022 in Gianyar Regency. The event, entitled 'Social Action for the Head of The TP PKK  Bali Province  Mobilizing Team, Greet and Share' that morning was centered in two places, namely Wantilan Pura Desa, Buahan Traditional Village, Payangan District and Banjar Mantring Hall, Petak Kaja Village, Gianyar District.

On that occasion, Mrs. Putri Koster explained that the PKK's routine action of greeting and sharing is also based on one of the PKK's spirit, namely gotong royong. “The PKK cooperates with its members in helping people in need, that's why we are here. I also want PKK cadres up to the village level to increase this spirit so that there will be no more people who are lacking in the future," She explained.

Moreover, responding to various disasters resulting from extreme weather that has hit Bali recently, the woman who is more familiarly called Bunda Putri also called for PKK cadres to be more responsive. Look left and right, the neighbors if anyone is affected by the disaster that occurred. According to him, the spirit of the PKK is very important to be needed in any condition, especially if its members touch the smallest level of society, namely the household.

The impact of extreme weather lately which has resulted in continuous rain is also the increasing prevalence of dengue fever. According to him, the PKK has a main program that can prevent dengue, namely The PKK's HEART. "By utilizing idle yards with staple crops that are useful for daily life, the book of Jesus prevents the occurrence of stagnant water where dengue mosquitoes breed, as well as meeting basic needs and beautifying the home yard," She explained while encouraging PKK cadres to boost The PKK’s HEART program.

That morning, in her speech, she also highlighted a recent case, namely the case of children's drugs in the form of syrup containing ethylene glycol which is also suspected to be the cause of acute kidney failure in children. She invites mothers to be more concerned with this case, and never buy their own medicine without a prescription from a doctor. “Although this case has been handled quickly by the government, we as a society must remain vigilant. We can reflect on the old people, if the child has a slight fever, it can be treated at home in the traditional way,” She added.

Putri Koster  also emphasized her commitment in encouraging the reduction of stunting. Even though in Bali the number of stunting sufferers is not so much, we still have to pay attention so that the stunting rate in the Bali area can be resolved immediately. Stunting must receive serious attention because it threatens the sustainability of the nation's next generation. She added that stunting, which can be interpreted as failure to grow and develop, where the child's height and weight are not in accordance with her age, if this is not addressed can affect the child's brain development. Therefore, her party requested that posyandu cadres be proactive about the potential for stunting in their respective environments and immediately carry out coordination and prevention efforts by cooperating with relevant stakeholders.
