Following up on the Governor of Bali Wayan Koster directives, the Provincial Government of Bali Prepares a Cheap 3 Kg LPG Gas Mechanism in the Community

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Following up on the direction of the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster regarding the disparity in the price of 3 Kg LPG Gas as a result of Bali Governor Regulation No. 63 of 2022 concerning the Third Amendment to Bali Governor Regulation No. 48 of 2014 concerning the Highest Retail Price (HET) for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for 3 Kilogram Cylinders, the Provincial Government of Bali together with Hiswana Migas Bali held a coordination meeting chaired by the Regional Secretary of the Province of Bali, Dewa Made Indra (January 24, 2023) in Room Regional Secretariat Meeting, Office of the Governor of Bali.

Previously, it was widely reported that the 3 Kg LPG had increased to 25 thousand rupiah at the retail level. However, this was denied by the Head of the Bali Province Employment and ESDM Service, I.B. Setiawan. He said that based on the latest Governor Regulation it had been stipulated that the HET of 3 Kg LPG at the base level was 18 thousand. "If at the base it has been set at 18,000, then at the retailer there is a margin of 2,000, that makes sense," Setiawan said. He also said that the Provincial Government of Bali is pushing for stability in the price of LPG 3 Kg so that it does not increase too significantly and the retail price enjoyed by the public is not more than 20 thousand rupiah.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Bali Provincial Oil and Gas National Entrepreneurs Association (Hiswana Migas), Dewa Ananta encouraged the public to be able to buy 3 Kg LPG gas directly at the base or at the nearest gas station. He also guarantees that there will be no price manipulation at the base level, it must be in accordance with the HET that has been determined. "If there is a base whose existence has been regulated to sell more than 18 thousand, it is ready to be acted upon because there is already a legal regulations " he said.

According to him, the HET adjustment for 3 Kg LPG is inseparable from the burden of operating costs for the distribution of 3 Kg LPG gas cylinders which are felt to need to be adjusted. The Regional Secretary of the Province of Bali, Dewa Made Indra requested that continuous monitoring and guidance be carried out not only at the base level but also at the retail level. "If there is a violation, a warning letter will be given and if you commit another violation, legal action will be taken," Dewa Made Indra said when giving directions to the Head of the Bali Satpol PP.

He also requested that the existence of the 3 Kg LPG Gas base be widely communicated to the public. "If necessary, write a letter to the Regent/Mayor to be forwarded to the Camat and Village Head regarding the existence of this base. It's a kind of educating the public, here's a base, buy it here," Made IndraIndrabsaid. Besides that, the Provincial Government of Bali together with Hiswana Migas Bali is collaborating and will carry out an inventory of the distribution of 3 Kg LPG Gas bases so that they can reach the entire community down to the lowest level. It is hoped that the public can reach the 3 Kg LPG Gas base easily so that they can obtain a cheaper price of 18 thousand rupiah in accordance with the stipulated Governor Regulation. (Rls/Btnc)
