A Cooking Demonstration with the theme of Balinese Arak was Held by BCC Witnessed by the Chairperson of the TP PKK Bali Province Mrs. Putri Koster

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Bali Chef Community (BCC) held a cooking demonstration with the theme of Balinese Arak. The cooking demonstration took place at the Office of the Governor of Bali Jayasabha Denpasar, Friday (Sukra Pon, Medangsia) January 27 2023 to coincide with the 57th Birthday of the Chairperson of the TP PKK Bali Province Mrs. Putri Koster

Witnessed by the Chairperson of the TP PKK Bali Province, Mrs. Putri Koster, this cooking demonstration brought up Balinese Arak combined with traditional Balinese dishes by the Bali Chef Community (BCC). The goal is to raise the dignity of Balinese Arak. Not inferior to wine, Balinese Arak can also improve the taste of dishes, especially traditional Balinese dishes. "So far, people only know Balinese Arak as a drink, even though Balinese Arak also has other benefits when collaborated with food,"  the President of the Bali Chef Community, Putu Ambara Putra said.

He explained that Balinese arak can remove the fishy smell of meat such as mutton and duck meat, as well as make the meat taste more tender and delicious. Besides that, in making cakes and bread, Arak can be used as a substitute for liqueur or rhum which is usually added to the process of making cakes and bread. "Balinese Arak gives a unique taste to cakes and bread,"  Ambara explained . There are three types of dishes being demonstrated by the Bali Chef Community this time, including Balinese Goat Kuah Arak, Penyon Kalasan Arak Duck and Honey Arak Chicken. All of them are dishes with the theme of Balinese Arak. While for the types of cakes and bread there are 12 types that are demonstrated. Previously, the Bali Chef Community (BCC) received a challenge from the Head of the Office of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises to make dishes with Balinese Arak nuances, so this demo was used by BCC to answer this challenge. Unexpectedly, it turned out that the community's response was very good. In fact, many invited guests gave positive comments about the three dishes with a touch of Balinese Arak.

The Chairperson of the TP PKK Bali Province Mrs. Putri Koster welcomed the results of the cooking demonstration conducted by 15 hotel chefs who are members of the Bali Chef Community (BCC). She highlighted how Balinese Arak can enhance the taste of dishes and give a different sensation to food. "The penyon lawar is delicious, I like it too," She said. (Rls/Btnc)
