Inaugurating the Bedetan Perancak Product Production Area, Putri Koster Encourages Processed Fish and Pindang to Become Jembrana's Characteristics

JEMBRANA, Balitopnews.com - The Chairperson of the TP PKK Bali Province  Putri Koster invited members of the Rancak Bedetan Women Farmers Group to maintain synergy and cooperation with fishermen and related stakeholders in developing the production of bedetan (processed dried lemuru fish) in Perancak. 

This was conveyed in her remarks shortly before inaugurating the Jembrana Kerthi Bali Research Center, Jembrana Bedetan Product Production Area, in Perancak - Jembrana, Bali, Friday (June  2,  2023) "Let's keep the production of bedetan from Perancak as a special feature of Jembrana which can only be found and obtained in the Jembrana area. However, in addition to the amount of production that is able to meet demand, the quality of taste, cleanliness and product packaging are also important efforts to be able to maintain the market."'' ,Putri Koster said. She explained  TP PKK Bali  Provinca  cannot move alone, therefore it is necessary to cooperate with all relevant stakeholders in developing areas and areas that have hopes to be developed, one of which is Jembrana Regency, where the Regency which is located on the western tip of the island of Bali has the potential to develop results. in the form of processing fish and boiled pindang, which can later be used as ingredients for food sources, whether in the form of processed dried fish, crackers and even other forms. Moreover, fish is a source of protein in the body which functions to educate the brain. In addition to fulfilling nutrition, fish are also expected to be able to have a positive effect on the local community's economic cycle, so that it can have an impact on the welfare of the local community. "Processing natural resources in the form of fish is of course very good for strengthening the family economy, but more importantly, if the fulfillment of food needs in the form of fish is first able to function to support the fulfillment of our living needs, so that when we have sufficiently fulfilled our food needs, then production will increase. to rotate the family economy through fish production and then market it and even export is of course very good," Putri Koster said who actively oversees the development of MSME products in Bali.

"I, as the Chairperson of the Bali Province PKK Mobilizing Team, which belongs to none other than the people of Bali, of course I will position myself to always be Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, namely to be able to set a role model for everyone. In addition to positioning myself in the middle, namely Ing Madyo Mbangun Karso, being able to be someone who, in the midst of his busy schedule, is still able to arouse or inspire everyone's enthusiasm, one of which is being able to absorb the problems that occur so that they are able to find and fulfill the things that the residents need. And then to become Tut Wuri Handayani where I must be able to provide moral encouragement and enthusiasm for work for all people, especially SMEs in Bali," Putri Koster Said.

 "By involving scholars from tertiary institutions in the context of looking for existing prospects for progress, efforts and ways to connect them with parties who are able to work together to work responsibly can be carried out optimally," Putri Koster added. 

The Regent of Jembrana  I Nengah Tamba who was present accompanied by the Chairperson of the TP PKK  Jembrana Gusti Ayu Ketut Candrawati Tamba explained on this occasion that Perancak which is located on the sea coast has adequate fish-producing potential, so most of the population are farmers and their wives have expertise in processing fish. Currently, they are able to process and produce 300 kg or three quintals of bedetan per day. This certainly provides fresh air for Jembrana Regency to add to the existing types of MSMEs.
"Even though Jembrana with 122 weaving centers has not been able to become a tourism center, with the inauguration of the production area for products originating from processed fish, it is hoped that it will be able to provide added value for the development of MSMEs/IKM in Jembrana," Tamba said.

Added by the Chair of the Activity Committee who is also a member of the UNHI Kerthi Bali Research Center, I Putu Fery Karyada said that this place is a CSR from BCA in the form of three (3) buildings, namely in the form of a building for processing fish cleaning and processing, the Solar Dryer Dome building which is serves to dry fish with a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius, and the other one is a packaging building.
