Bali Provincial Government Prepares Quarantine Place with 1,012 Beds

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - The Provincial Government of Bali has prepared a quarantine place for Balinese citizens who become Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) / Shipmen (ABK) with a capacity of 1,012 beds. This was revealed by Bali Governor Wayan Koster, who acted as Chair of the Task Force for Implementing the Bali Province Co-19 Acceleration Handling, at the Jaya Sabha Hospital, Denpasar, Wednesday, April 8, 2020.
The quarantine places prepared by the Bali Provincial Government are: Bali Provincial Public Health Training Center, Bali Provincial Human Resource Training Agency, Wisma Bima owned by the Ministry of Public Works, Land Transportation Polytechnic owned by the Ministry of Transportation (reserve). According to Koster, the place used by Quarantine is an educational facility for employees and structural officials. "Contains adequate facilities in the form of bedrooms, beds, and equipped with air conditioning. Also has been provided with good quality food and beverage facilities free of charge that are usually prepared by caterers, at the expense of the Bali Provincial Government", he said.
Koster explained, in the prevention of covid-19 also prepared medical officers and security forces. Making PTUD University UNUD as covid-19 Handling Center which began operating on April 7, 2020. The number of rooms that are ready to treat positive patients is 9 rooms, plus the number of rooms being prepared for positive patients is 40 rooms with 65 beds. Plus the number of rooms being prepared for PDP is 32 rooms (1 room with 1 bed). Prepared Specialist Doctors, General Physicians, and Nurses as needed. The handling of covid-19 in PTN UNUD Hospital was funded by the Bali Province Semesta Planned Regional Budget in 2020. With the start of the functioning of PTN UNUD Hospital, PDP patients and new covid-19 positive patients are no longer treated at the District / City Regional Hospital, so that the spread of covid-19 under control.
While severe positive patients will be treated at Sanglah Hospital. "Thus we can localize, and not be a burden on the RegencyRegency, " Koster said.
