DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com- Chairman Task  Force  for Acceleration of Handling Covid-19 Bali Province, Dewa Made Indra conveyed the termination of test services for the crew of logistical vehicles at the Port of Gilimanuk and Port of Padangbai starting at 08.00 Wita,Thursday tomorrow (18 June 2020).

This was conveyed by Dewa Made Indra on the sidelines of the Evaluation Meeting on the Efforts to Suppress Local Transmission which was held online from his office on Tuesday (June 16, 2020).

The Regional Secretary of Bali Province as the Daily Chair of GTPP has issued Circular Number: 257 / GugasCovid19 / VI / 2020 dated June 16, 2020 concerning the Termination of Free Rapid Tests at Gilimanuk Port and Padangbai Port. This was carried out as a follow up to the results of the Ketapang-Gilimanuk Entrance Evaluation Meeting on June 15, 2020 and the letter of the Daily Chair of the Bali Province Co-19 Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling. 189 / GugasCovid19 / V / 2020 concerning Covid-19 Handling on May 30, 2020.

He insists that all logistical vehicle crews who will carry out the crossing must carry a certificate of rapid test conducted independently issued by the Government Hospital Laboratory or the Regional Government or the Health Service or other authorities as determined by the local GTPP Covid-19 in accordance with specified requirements.

"PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has prepared and facilitated the implementation of rapid tests independently in the area of the Ketapang Port and the Gilimanuk Port for the service user community who needed the service of the rapid test certificate which was used as one of the conditions of crossing into Bali, "said Dewa Indra while asking all relevant stakeholders to help provide outreach and assistance in their implementation.

Previously, in the same place, Dewa Indra also spoke online at the Training of Trainers (TOT) Thematic Field Guidance Lecturer (DPL) of KKN ‘Desa Tangguh Covid-19 Udayana University’. Not long after, Dewa Indra also chaired an Evaluation Meeting on the Efforts to Suppress Local Transmission, which was followed by all relevant stakeholders from the Regency / City Governments in Bali, the TNI, the Police, the Management of Indigenous Villages, Dinas Villages and several other related parties

In his presentation, Dewa Indra conveyed the chronology of the entry of Covid-19 into the Bali Region, the trend of cases and the handling efforts that had been carried out by the Task Force. According to him, in the early months, the Covid-19 case in the Bali Region was dominated by imported cases (infections originating from locations outside a region, such as outside the city or abroad). Referring to the facts on the ground, the case of imported Covid-19 cases in the Bali Region is dominated by Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI). At that time, said Dewa Indra, the task force applied a special SOP, namely localizing the carrier. He said he conducted a very strict examination of PMI through rapid tests and SWAB tests. Those who are positive are immediately handled by the provincial task force, while the negative are quarantined by the district / city government. The Provincial Government of Bali also involved the active role of traditional villages by forming a mutual cooperation task force. The effort proved to be quite effective and until the end of May the local transmission case was successfully controlled.

But he did not close his eyes that entering June, the Covid-19 case on the Island of the Gods experienced dynamics with the addition of local transmissions. In fact, data as of June 5, 2020 shows that the number of local transmission cases has exceeded imported cases. For this reason, Gustu Covid-19 of the Province of Bali has changed its strategy by intensifying education and outreach on the importance of implementing health protocols to prevent the widespread spread of Covid-19. "The increase in local transmission rates is proof that there are some people who have not been disciplined in implementing health protocols such as using masks, diligently washing hands with soap in running water, keeping a distance and maintaining stamina," he explained. Still related to the local transmission case, the bureaucrat born in Buleleng calls the market a risky place and becomes a new cluster in the spread of Covid-19

Responding to a number of proposals from meeting participants, Sekda Dewa Indra concluded that a number of things that would soon be followed up include, firstly, efforts to prevent local transmissions must be carried out together. Specifically related to prevention efforts in the market, the Disperindag of the Province of Bali is asked to immediately coordinate with the Disperindag Regency / City to conduct massive surveillance and socialization efforts in markets.

Second, a strong monitoring or control effort is needed in a market environment that involves the benefit of the TNI / Polri so that supervision of the community that is not yet compliant with the health protocol can be carried out. Third, Dewa Indra said further, socialization efforts to the public, especially the uninformed people, must continue to be carried out using either social media, print or electronic as well as fourth, strengthening the mutual assistance task force should be promoted again to minimize the spread of local transmission in rural areas.

"I will follow up on this conclusion, whether later it will be written in a circular or other form. For that reason, I ask all components, let us strengthen cooperation in an effort to suppress the spread of this virus, so that this virus can pass soon, "he concluded as he closed the meeting.
