DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Vice Governor of Bali Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati delivered a speech at the same time as a guest speaker at the Ministry of Tourism and Tourism Webinar with the Visit Indonesia Tourism Officer (VITO) Australia with the theme 'Re-Inventing Bali What will be better in Bali after Covid', at Vice

Governor of Bali Meeting Room, Wednesday 17 June 2020.

Cok Ace said that currently the world was facing a difficult situation caused by the Covid 19 pandemic, including in Bali. In the beginning, there were no positive confirmed cases until finally, on March 4, Covid 19 positive cases began to occur in Bali. Since then, the number of positive confirmed patients in Bali has continued to increase to 741 cases (based on data dated June 14, 2020), with a cure rate of 63.9%. The positive confirmed number in Bali is only 1.9% of the national positive rate with a very low death rate from Covid 19.

Bali continues to strive to reduce the prevention of Covid 19 transmission by establishing good synergy with stakeholders and involving the participation of the community.

Cok Ace added that there were 3 main criteria out of 11 criteria set as guidelines for an area to open its territory economically. One of them is a decrease in positive confirmation up to 50% for 14 days from the position of the number of previously positive confirmed patients.

Like other regions in Indonesia, Bali has also carried out various strategies in an effort to suppress the spread of the Covid Virus 19. In addition to synergizing with all existing stakeholders, Bali also implements the Mutual Assistance Task Force involving traditional village pecalang in Bali, where these pecalang are overseeing the flow of people in and out as well as maintaining the discipline of citizens in complying with the health protocol.

Cok Ace who is also the Chairperson of Bali's PHRI added that the Provincial Government of Bali is also conducting a close examination at the entrances of Bali. One of them is with the negative PCR result requirement for airplane passengers who will come to Bali besides the airplane passengers are also required to fill in a Health Alert Card (HAC) which describes the health condition of the passenger as well as people who can be contacted in an emergency.

In mitigating patients in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic, the Provincial Government of Bali has prepared 14 hospitals that are ready and trained in handling Covid 19 patients. This hospital has also been equipped with isolation rooms according to existing health standards. Not only that, Bali also has 3 laboratories namely Sanglah, Warmadewa and Udayana laboratories which can do more than 500 PCR tests per day.

When viewed from the level of foreign tourist arrivals, in 2019 Australian tourist visits to Bali are very high and Australia is a large market share for Bali. For that reason Cok Ace really hopes that Australian tourists can return to visit Bali later.

From the tourism sector, Bali has prepared health protocols in all areas of tourism which are focused on 3 main things namely Cleanliness, Health and Safety (CHS). With the application of this CHS it is hoped that Bali will again become the center of world tourism when Bali is ready to be opened for tourism.

The same thing was also conveyed by Deputy of Marketing Development II Kemenparekraf Nia Niscaya where the government has prepared the implementation of the implementation of CHS in Bali where the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Nusa Dua will become a pilot application of CHS. Preparations for the implementation of CHS continue to be carried out then continued with CHS training for tourism workers as well as simulation of its application and later the application in various existing tourist destinations.
