"Therefore, I ask the tourism sector and the creative economy actors to be able to implement it well. So that we can review all the stages of the process and we can enter the next stages more quickly," he said.

On the same occasion, Bali Governor I Wayan Koster explained, his party had prepared three stages for the implementation of the health protocol to welcome the new normalcy. The first phase will be carried out on July 9, 2020.

"We plan that if the situation is conducive on July 9 we will begin to open up movements in Bali in several sectors except education and tourism," he said.

The second phase will be carried out in August 2020 with a note that the movement of the first phase is conducive and successful. Then it will proceed to the second stage for domestic tourists. After the second phase successfully continued to the third stage by starting to open destinations for foreign tourists in September 2020.

"But this is just preparation and square off, not an implementation schedule. So or not depends on the development of the situation and dynamics of COVID-19, especially the development of local transmission in Bali," he said.

I Wayan Koster also explained, this was in accordance with the directives of the President and the Minister of the Menparekraf related that the reopening of Bali must be done carefully and not in a hurry.

"Do not let a second wave of pandemic in Bali occur, if we are in a hurry. Because it will be risky and very heavy for us," he said.

Governor of Bali also explained that the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Bali in general was still quite dynamic. To this day he said, local transmission is indeed still quite high in some areas such as Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, and Badung.

"So from the health side, I see that Bali is not conducive to new normal operations in the tourism sector," he said. (Gix)
