DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Vice Governor of Bali Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati was a guest speaker at a seminar to Rearrange the Performing Arts Performance Format for the Covid-19 Pandemic Period 2020, at Citta Kelangen Building, ISI Denpasar, Thursday, June 18, 2020.

Cok Ace who is also a Professor at ISI Denpasar, deems it necessary to discuss how the concept of performing arts will be carried out during the pandemic, if later Bali tourism will be reopened even though gradually.

"Considering since the covid-19 pandemic period there are several health protocols that we must obey, for that what about the arts which in the event involves a lot of time and of course with the various makeups that must be used, we need to discuss this together" he said.

According to Cok Ace, ISI Denpasar can form a small team to discuss health protocols that will be applied in performing arts, so that the format of the health protocol can be used by tourism to be part of the application of health protocols in its environment. So that the art protocol can be arranged by the art experts to continue to prioritize taksu from the art.

"So that the art protocol is not regulated by tourism, but the art protocol is regulated by the art experts themselves," he said.

To that end, Deputy Governor Cok Ace asked for input from actors in the arts, especially related to health protocols in the field of performing arts. "I want the show given to have taksu but it is also safe, the visitors are safe and the artists are also safe, so we have to think about this together and seriously," he concluded.

Meanwhile cultural practitioner Prof.  Dr. I Wayan Dibya conveyed that the format of the performing arts had to be found immediately, considering that since the existence of the Covid-19 pandemic, it had overturned a variety of habits that had prevailed in the arts, especially in the performing arts.

Second, in this condition the material of the art must be slightly altered as in the performance of kecak, candidates and others in order to adjust the health protocol.

Third, the form of staging can be directly or virtual so there is still communication with the audience.

For this reason, he hopes that this seminar can provide good input in formulating new formats of art performance during the co-19 pandemic.

This discussion also presented the resource person of the Bali Safari and Marine Park Assistant and Entertainment Manager Kadek Agus Ardana, as well as several participants who were art experts who also provided input in the discussion. In addition, the launching of the book "Purana Seni Perjalanan Panjang Berliku”  by ISI Denpasar Rector Prof. Dr. I Gede Arya Sugiartha. (Gix)
