DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com. The implementation of mass and massive rapid tests is one way of overcoming Covid-19 which is considered quite effective, because it can detect patients early and can be immediately treated immediately. This was conveyed by Bali Provincial Secretary Dewa Made Indra when holding a virtual evaluation meeting 'Covid-19 Control in the New Cluster' in Denpasar, Friday 19 June 2020.

"Especially in new clusters where local transmission has been increasingly found lately," he explained. According to him, since June 4 there has been a shift in the trend of adding positive cases of Covid-19 in Bali. Because as of that date the case of local transmission increasingly dominates over the addition of the previous case which is dominated by imported cases brought by PMI  (Indonesian migrant workers ) who just arrived in Bali.

"The percentage of additional cases of local transmission since then amounted to 63.91%, and more and more are increasingly being found," he explained in a meeting which was also attended by Regional Secretary from Denpasar City, Badung Regency, Buleleng Regency, Klungkung Regency and Gianyar Regency, as well as task force from each of the regencies / cities.

The Chairman of Bali Province's Covid-19 Acceleration Countermeasure said that the addition of local transmissions has been increasing lately due to more tests and tracing by the government. "Procedurally this is certainly justified by the central government, because more and more people will be exposed to the Corona virus and will be known immediately and get the right treatment," he explained.

In addition, multiplying the test will also speed up the end of the pandemic, of course, by finding all people exposed to Covid-19.

"The mass rapid test will soon end this pandemic by dealing with all people exposed," he explained. This is also an attempt by the government to accelerate the return of normal life and move the people's economy. Seeing the recent developments that many local transmissions occur in market clusters, the Regional Secretary Dewa Indra asked districts / cities to conduct mass rapid tests on the market.

"Do a rapid test, if the results are reactive, immediately do the SWAB. We from the Provincial Government are ready to support both the rapid test kit and the quarantine place," he explained

Furthermore, he explained, besides conducting tests in the market cluster, the officers were also asked to do a mapping, about which areas could potentially be affected by tracing traders and people who visited the market. "If it has been mapped, then we can find out places that have the potential to become places of distribution," he added.

In addition to conducting mass tests on market clusters, he also asked authorities to conduct socialization on traders and the public who visited the market related to health protocols. "Please coordinate the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the head of the market to socialize the health protocol. For markets managed by traditional villages, officials can coordinate with the Head of The Custom Village, "he explained.

Dewa Indra also added, according to the Bali Governor's Instruction, the deadline for this mass rapid test was the end of June, for Denpasar City if possible this weekend. "Whatever the results of this mass rapid test, we accept, however much the results are the reality. But this is the best way to find out the exact amount. It's like washing a warehouse, if all is detected we can take the next step, "he said. (Gix)
