DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Head of Office I, Ketut Suarjaya, explained that the amount of Rp 1.3 billion per day delivered by the Governor was a cumulative amount of the cost of rapid tests conducted both at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Gilimanuk Port and Padangbai Port and the implementation of rapid tests at some areas due to local transmission.

In addition, these costs also include the implementation of the Swab Test by PCR method which is carried out every 2 (two) days for Covid-19 patients who are being treated at various referral hospitals and quarantine places prepared by the Provincial Government of Bali.

"So the Bali Provincial Government issues billions of rupiah every day not only for the cost of rapid tests at the Gilimanuk Port alone, but for the overall Covid-19 handling," Suarjaya said on Saturday (June 20, 2020) night while emphasizing that indeed at the Gilimanuk Port the frequency was very high , at least 1000 people per day and even up to 2,000 people must be subjected to rapid tests, especially for the crew of logistical vehicles bound for Bali.

Not to mention, continued Suarjaya, officers routinely carry out tests in the place or village that became the new cluster of Covid-19 deployment.

"Take for example in the villages of Abuan, Bangli or Bondalem, Buleleng, we carry out mass rapid tests, even continuing PCR-based Swabs," he explained.

Currently the Bali Provincial Health Office spends rapid tests ranging from 3000-4000 thousand tests a day, both at ports, contact tracing, and other surveillance needs. The amount of the cost of rapid tests in private health facilities is currently around 400-500 thousand for one rapid test.

According to the man born in Pengastulan Buleleng, the Provincial Government of Bali has fully borne the cost of conducting a rapid test conducted at the entrance of Bali, Gilimanuk Port and Padangbai Port, free of charge for logistical vehicle crews. So based on Circular Number: 257 / GugasCovid19 / VI / 2020 dated June 16, 2020 concerning the Free Stop of Rapid Tests at Gilimanuk Port and Padangbai Port, the Bali Province Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Handling Task Force will no longer provide free rapid test services for logistic vehicle crews at Gilimanuk Port and Padangbai Port, which starts on Thursday, June 18, 2020 starting at 08.00 WITA.

"It should be that logistical vehicle crews must carry a rapid test certificate independently, all costs must be borne by the company," Suarjaya added.

In addition, based on Circular No.44 / 8890 / Yankes.Diskes / 2020 dated June 18, 2020, for the Rapid Test and PCR Swab examination of travelers and their own needs (independent) can be collected according to the tariff provisions in each Health Facility. The provisions of the rapid test rates that are applied in each Health Facility in order to adjust to the unit cost by seeking the cost does not exceed Rp. 400,000 while for the PCR Swab inspection fee to be adjusted to the unit cost and strived not to exceed Rp. 1,800,000.

Suarjaya explained the breakdown of the average cost incurred by the Provincial Government of Bali to carry out rapid tests and swabs per day, including consisting of rapid tests at Gilimanuk Port of Rp 200-250 million, at Padangbai Port of Rp 50 million, rapid tests & patient swabs at quarantine / hospital and other places reach 1 billion a day. In mathematical calculations it does cost around Rp 1.3 billion per day. It has not been calculated the operational costs of human resources who have to work up to 24 hours every day.

"The amount of these fees was meant by the Governor when answering the doorstop question with the media crew after attending the GTPP Covid-19 Bali Province coordination meeting in Jayasabha on Friday (19 June 2020 - red)," Suarjaya said. (Gix)
