Giving Aid to 2 Underprivileged Families in Karangasem, Regional Secretary Dewa Indra Wants to Instill Concern for Real Conditions in the Field

KARANGASEM, Balitopnews.com - Coinciding with the Idul Fitri holiday, the Bali Provincial Government is again distributing aid through the 'Bali Provincial Government Present' program. The Ngrombo Action Program from the Information Communication and Statistics Service (Kominfos), the Indigenous Community Advancement Service (PMA), the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service and the Bali Province Kesbangpol handed over aid to underprivileged residents in Karangasem Regency on Wednesday (April 10, 2024 )morning.

First, the assistance was handed over by the Regional Secretary of Bali Province, Dewa Made Indra, to the residents of Br. Bantas , Baturinggit Village, Pekak Kontit (70) and Odah Kunter (66) in the form of decent clothes, blankets, basic necessities, kitchen utensils and water storage (closed buckets) because they took the water very far away, and handed it over in cash. A husband and wife couple who have 4 children (living in another village), chose to live in a remote location and away from the hustle and bustle of the crowd. As can be seen from their daily lives, only Pekak Kontit continues to be active in raising cattle. The location of his house, which is far from a water source, requires Pekak Kuntit to search for water hundreds of meters down, and use horses. When the rainy season arrives, this couple can collect water and store it in a jug, which looks dull and far from clean.

On this occasion, the Regional Secretary of Bali Province, Dewa Made Indra, explained the importance of the government being present to see firsthand the condition of the community. "It is important for all of us to go down and visit underprivileged people who need attention, so that we all know that there are still many who need help," he said.
Baturinggit Perbekel, I Gede Putu Telantik expressed his gratitude to the Bali Provincial Government, which provided attention and came directly to see the condition of its residents. The same thing was also conveyed by the Bantas Traditional Village Head, Baturinggit Village, Kubu District, I Nengah Jenek, who was grateful for the concern of the Bali Provincial Government. Next, Regional Secretary Dewa Indra laid the first stone for house renovation assistance to Wayan Buda, a resident of Banjar Dinas Beluhu Kangin, Tulamben Village, Kubu District, Karangasem.

Perbekel Tulamben Village  Nyoman Pica, representing the Wayan Buda family, expressed his thanks to the Bali Provincial Government for providing assistance in the form of a house renovation to one of its residents. According to him, Wayan Buda deserved help considering his family's poor economic condition as casual workers. "Our resident deserves assistance. Previously he lived in a garden. His daily life was as a casual laborer. The assistance provided is very useful for our residents. Once again I would like to thank the Bali Provincial Government," he explained.

He hopes that in the future programs like this can continue considering that there are still many underprivileged people who need help. Also present at the 'Bali Provincial Government Present' activity this time was the Head of Regional Apparatus within the Bali Provincial Government. (Rls/Btnc)
