The Final Trial of the Love Bali a Application

One Day it Was Open, Tourism Levy payments reached more than 700 transactions

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - The Bali Provincial Government is again conducting tests regarding the implementation of the foreign tourist levy (Tourism Levy) which is planned to be released on February 14 2024. If previously the Love Bali service had been tested through the User Acceptance Test (UAT) which tested the readiness of the Love Bali application in terms of service infrastructure using an unreal system or DevTest, during the Operational Test (TO) which was carried out on Wednesday (7 February 2024) at the Office Bank BPD Bali, all systems and mechanisms are carried out in real time using original data from tourists.

Ngurah Udiyana, Young Computer Expert Officer at the Bali Province Information and Statistics Communication Service, said that the Operational Test (TO) is the final series before the Love Bali service can be released to the public. "When TO the situation must be in accordance with the real situation as this service will be released,"Udiyana explained . So according to him, all possible scenarios for foreign tourists to pay Tourism Levy must be tested one by one, including individual and group payments as well as testing payments at each endpoint or payment gateway. This also includes testing payment methods that can be used, including cards (VISA, Master, JCB, AMEX, BCA), BPD Bali Channel, Bank Transfer to QRIS.

It can be seen that in the implementation of the TO itself, several foreign tourists were brought in to directly test whether the payment of the foreign tourist levy (Tourism Levy) could work well. "This operational test directly uses real data from tourists,"  the Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, Tjok. Bagus  Pemayun explained when met at the event location.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bali Province Communication, Information and Statistics Service, Gede Pramana, said that the enthusiasm of foreign tourists in paying the Tourism Levy was very high. It was proven that from when the Love Bali application was opened at midnight until 5 PM  in the afternoon the number of foreign tourists who made Tourism Levy payments had reached more than 700 tourists. "Actually, at the time this TO was just a limited trial, but what happened when we (the application) opened because it used real conditions, many payments had already been received even though the TO was still ongoing," he explained.

This shows that the outreach carried out by the Bali Provincial Government has been running and has been well received by tourists. (Rls/Btnc)
