Governor Koster Receives a Visit from the Taiwan Ambassador

The relationship between the Government of Indonesia and Taiwan has been going well. Various collaborations have also been carried out between the two countries, ranging from education to agriculture. For this reason, a good relationship is expected to continue to be improved, especially between Taiwan and the Bali Provincial Government.

This was conveyed by the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, when he received the visit of the Ambassadoof Taiwan, Mr. Jhon C Chen, at the Governor of Bali Office , Jaya Sabha, Denpasar on Friday (May 24, 2019)

The Ambassador of Taiwan, Mr. Jhon C Chen on the occasion congratulated him on the ongoing General Elections in Indonesia. Chen said that there were quite a lot of Taiwanese who visited Bali and were happy. Not only that, many Indonesians are currently working and undergoing education in Taiwan. According to him, Taiwan and Indonesia's relations are very good.

"First I would like to congratulate you on the implementation of the elections that have been going well. Thus, our citizens will feel safe to continue visiting Indonesia, especially Bali. Our citizens are quite a lot on vacation in Bali. There are also many Indonesians. there is also education there. Of course we have to maintain this good relationship, "Chen said.

Regarding cooperation, Chen pointed out, there was a Balinese who was in trouble. After he participated in Bali Project One Product One Village (OVOP) training in the field of asparagus cultivation, now his income is more stable and gets lots of praise from the surrounding community.

"We hope that cooperation between Taiwan and Indonesia, especially Bali can be mutually beneficial and prosperous to each other. So far, Taiwan has actively increased cooperation with Indonesia, deepened bilateral relations between Taiwan and Indonesia, and strengthened relations between communities as well," Chen explained.

Chen further said, in order to continue to improve cooperation between Taiwan and the Bali Provincial Government, he invited Governor Koster and Mrs. Putri Koster to visit Taiwan to see things that might later be cooperated in the future. In particular, Chen hoped that Governor Koster could be present on Saturday (May 25, 2019), to attend a meeting of Taiwanese businessmen in Indonesia to further strengthen relations between Bali and Taiwan.

"I invite Mr. Governor and wife to visit Taiwan. Later you can see what makes it possible for us to work together. Tomorrow there will be a meeting between Taiwanese entrepreneurs in Indonesia. I hope the Governor can attend the event. For "the relationship between Bali and Taiwan is getting stronger," he said.

Responding to this, Governor Koster expressed his gratitude for the invitation given. Koster said that if there were many things cooperation could be carried out between Bali and Taiwan. According to Koster, the Bali Privinsi Government through the Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali program is currently managing the fundamentals of Bali's development as a whole. Some of the priority areas include food, clothing, shelter, health, education, social security, employment, customs, religion, tradition and culture and tourism. He hopes that several priority areas can be collaborated.

"At the moment we are organizing the fundamentals of Balinese development as a whole, there are several fields that become our priority programs. Maybe we can work together on the program later. Maybe  we can establish trade cooperation. We know Bali has many superior fruits, later we can "For more information, what is certain is that the cooperation that has been established so far is expected to continue to be improved," said Koster.
