The Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, invites all Balinese manners to be happy and rejoice in the 41st Bali Art Festival (PKB) this year. We spread peace through our traditions, art and culture are just right, "said Governor Koster in his remarks at the Night of the 41st Bali Art Festival Opening Ceremony at Ardha Candra Open Stage, Taman Budaya Art Center, Denpasar, Saturday night (June 15, 2019)
Koster said that Art in Bali, like oxygen that can be inhaled everywhere, as a medium to understand Bali properly. "Despite the dynamics in the community, always remember that art can unite us again. Art is the best media for us to achieve that unity," he said.
This year's Bali Art Festival, which takes the theme 'Bayu Pramana' or wind power, is presented by Koster, which has been arranged creatively and innovatively. "We designed it to commit to the existing theme so that it had a new face, not monotonous," he said.
"In addition, this Bali art festival is also committed to the policies and vision of 'Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali'. Such as the use of traditional Balinese clothing, Balinese scripts and literature, campaigns to reduce plastic waste to the use of agricultural products and local industries," Koster explained.
Alignment to the local industry was also demonstrated through a breakthrough to eliminate exhibition stands for local MSME players. "In addition, we also re-establish all the villages in each traditional village, which has been maintaining strong religion, traditional customs in Bali," he said.
Opening the Bali Art Festival this year, an oratorium was held entitled 'Bali Padma Bhuana' by ISI Denpasar.
