Baris Gede sacred dance performed at Karya Agugn Cermony, mamungkah melaspas, mupuk pedagingan, genteg linggih, usaba desa, Usaba nini and tawur in The Teple of Tri Khahyangan Desa Adat Tista, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency, Bali Province, on Full Moon, Saturday October 15th 2016.
Baris Gede sacred dance performed during the ceremony and danced by 10 dancers. The dancers wore the armor, carrying weapons such as spears, chakras, sword and shield, act out a duel. Baris Gede sacred dance also described as a bodyguard accompanying welcome the God.
“Beside baris gede sacred dance performed, in this ceremony Tele sacred dance also performed,” said I Ketut Suadiasa as Bedesa Adat ( Head of Tista Village Custom). He explained, that the ceremony on the basis of this masterpiece of literature as well as the instructions of the Hindu Association Indonesia Tabanan regency. The aim is all societies become prosperous village residents. "Another goal is to restore soil fertility because most people in the Tista Village as a farmer," he explained.
Ceremony led by some Hindu priests. Ida Pedanda Gede Griya Pejaten from Kediri, Ida Pedanda Buda Grita Jadi from Marga, Ida Pedande Griya Pasekan from Tabanan, Ida Rsi Bujangga from Griya Ngis in Penebel, Ida Sri Mpu Pande from Kediri. Ida Sri Mpu Pasek Griya Klaci from Marga and Ida Sri Mpu Pande Griya Langan from Kerambitan. "Ceremonies like this are held every 33 years. Funding donated from citizen of Tista Village, contributions from donors. Tista and citizens who migrate to the outside Bali such as Lampung, Lombok and Sulawesi return to Bali to attend a ceremonial procession and participate as a donor, "he said.
