DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Just like in previous years, cellular data services and IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) will also be turned off during Nyepi Day Saka 1945 this year which will fall on March 22, 2023. This was conveyed by the Head of the Communications Office , Informatics and Statistics of Bali Province, Gede Pramana in his press conference ( March 17, 2023)/. He said that this policy is a policy that is carried out annually by the Provincial Government of Bali to support the implementation of Nyepi Day in a conducive manner. This decision was strengthened by the Circular of the Minister of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia No. 4 of 2023 concerning the Appeal to Implement the Call of the Provincial Government of Bali for 2023 dated March 16, 2023 and the Joint Call for religious assemblies and socio-religious institutions of the Province of Bali for 2023 regarding the implementation of the series of holy days of Nyepi Saka Year 1945 on March 13, 2023. The deactivation of cellular data and IPTV services will start on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 06.00 AM until Thursday, March 23, 2023at 06.00 AM. "This means that all cellular data services on cellphones will be turned off," said Gede Pramana. However, he also said that services for vital objects such as hospital services, police offices, military, BMKG, BPPD, BASARNAS, airports, firefighters and other vital objects would continue to operate. Meanwhile, telephone, SMS and fiber optic services can still be used during Nyepi to make it easier for the public if during Nyepi they need services, especially those of an emergency nature.
