Bali Province Won the Proactive Level UKPBJ Maturity Award

JAKARTA,Balitopnews.com - The hard work of the Bali Provincial Government in improving good governance, especially the Goods and Services Procurement governance index has produced results. Bali Province is one of 12 Goods/Services Procurement Work Units (UKPBJ) within Ministries/Institutions/Regional Governments that received the Proactive Level 3 UKPBJ Award. The award was handed over directly by the Head of the Republic of Indonesia Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute Hendrar Prihadi at The Westin Hotel Jakarta, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (May 24, 2023).
On this occasion, the Province of Bali was represented by Expert Staff to the Governor of Bali, Wayan Serinah. The 12 Work Units that received awards were: the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology; Ministry of Law and Human Rights; Ministry of Finance; State Cyber and Code Agency; Bali province; Riau Archipelago Province; West Java province; Badung regency; Kutai Kartanegara Regency; Buleleng Regency; Tangerang City and Batam City.
According to the head of LKPP Hendrar Prihadi, by achieving minimum level-3 (proactive) UKPBJ maturity, UKPBJ as a procurement agent plays a strategic role in achieving government goals. In addition, this achievement is also evidence of continuous improvement in capability and governance. For this reason, he advised the Provincial Governments which have succeeded in reaching a proactive level to continue fostering Regency/City UKPBJ to reach a similar level.
In line with that, the Head of LKPP revealed that he would continue to evaluate existing regulations and policies and continue to encourage UKPBJ which had not yet reached maturity level 3 to be proactive to accelerate, and reminded UKPBJ which had reached maturity level 3 to be proactive to continue to improve and increase their level. UKPBJ maturity level to level 5 (excellent). "This is not an achievement or an end point, but rather what has been achieved. UKPBJ is able to show and provide added value not only for the procurement of goods/services, but is able to become a function of achieving organizational targets, resulting in efficient, effective and transparent procurement of goods/services, as well as being the foundation for Indonesia's economic growth," he said.
